my blood orange curd, yogurt and almond cake. the cake is really dense but making the blood orange curd is not for the faint of heart. if you arent much a baker, just eat the blood oranges: theyre delicious enough on their own.

i’m making this almond and yogurt cake with blood orange curd this evening. the curd is currently cooling and it couldn’t taste better! british cooks definitely got one thing right: fruit in cakes. their use of jams and curds is simply inspiring. screw frosting. i’ll post some pictures once my cake is assembled.
